About Me

I am a postdoctoral fellow working in the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Giessen in Giessen, Germany. I received my B.A. with a dual major in Psychology and Physics at the University of Virginia in 2006. I received my M.S. and Ph.D. in Psychology and a certificate in Cognitive Science at Rutgers University in 2012 while working in the Perceptual Science program. While at Rutgers, I was an IGERT fellowย for two years, funded under a National Science Foundation Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship grant.

Research Interests:

  • Perception of 3D shape from shading, texture, and specular reflections
  • Haptics and human-machine interfaces
  • Psychophysical modeling of tactile perception
