This post is the fifth in a series of nine illustrating my trip to Japan. On my fifth day in Japan, March 25th, Matt and I decided to take the time to do some sightseeing and go to the various areas around Tokyo, including Central Tokyo (æ±äº¬), Ginza (銀座), Asakusa (æµ…è‰), and Shinjuku (新宿区).
Continue to the post for more pictures.
There was couple of shrines right next to our hotel, including the Atago shrine. We did not have a chance to walk through it until later in the day.
And of course, you need to go to McDonald’s if you go to Japan. After arriving in Central Tokyo and walking to Ginza, we had a sandwich that was known as the EBI Filet-O, which was a “filet-o-shrimp.” Very interesting.
The next stop was Asakusa and the Asakusa Shrine. Definitely a tourist trap, but hey, it was fun!
After Asakusa, we headed back to Kamiyacho station (the Metro station closest to our hotel) and dropped stuff on so that we could explore the Atago shrine. Please note the steep, slippery steps. Ohh so fun to ascend.
Next on the list was Shinjuku. We jumped on the Metro and headed to Shinjuku station.
Yes, Mos Burger is delicious.
